Steven Gaines is the editor-in-chief of Campus CrossWalk and the founding director of OASIS Campus Ministry, the multi-college outreach of Central Church of Christ in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He has served in various ministry capacities – like college ministry, preaching, missions, and singles ministry – since 1994 and has taught at four universities. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Bible/missions, a graduate certificate in conflict resolution, and two master’s degrees – one in communication and one in ministry. He also has studied at Harding University Graduate School of Religion, the Oxford Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, and the University of Oklahoma, where he first discovered campus ministry. Steven has been Tamara’s husband since 2005. Together, they follow Jesus Christ and have two cats.
