Mary BrinkerhoffMary Brinkerhoff, Auburn University, Auburn AL

Class Title: You Can't Have an Ox and a Clean Stall

Class Description: “A conversation class where ladies involved in campus ministry on any and every level (full time, wife, volunteer) can gain strength from getting to know other sisters committed to campus ministry as well as share ways that they can meet the unique challenges of being involved in the lives of college students while trying to navigate the demands of ministry, marriage, family, children, work and congregational responsibilities.”

Teaching in Class 1 and 2

Micah CobbMicah Cobb, West Kentucky University, Bowling Green KY

Class Title: Reviving Your Campus Ministry: A Conversation (Class Audio)

Class Description: “Do you feel that your ministry has stalled? Have you seen little enthusiasm and passion among your students? Are you beginning to question whether campus ministry is for you? Join Micah Cobb for a conversation on reviving your campus ministry. He'll share some of his experiences at his current ministry, but will primarily aim to facilitate a discussion among those of us who are currently in the trenches of reviving a ministry”

Teaching in Class 3

Casey CostonCasey Coston, University of Mississippi, Oxford MS

Class Title: Smaller is Better (Class Audio)

Class Description: “Perhaps you have felt the pressure to have a big ministry.  Maybe it comes from within your own dreams of success or the dreams of your church leaders.  Maybe you feel the pressure of other successful ministries and struggle with feelings of unhealthy competition and comparison.  Maybe it comes from our "bigger is better" culture.  In this class, we will look at Shane's chapter 12 in Irresistible Revolution (Growing Smaller and Smaller Until We Take Over the World).  We will also bring in pertinent Scriptures on God's apparent attraction to smaller rather than bigger numbers and reflect on how all of this has affected Rebels for Christ at Ole Miss and your ministry as well!”

Teaching in Class 1 and 2

Duane DixonDuane Dixon, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa AL

Class Title: Orphan Care & Campus Ministry (Class Audio)

Class Description: “In a world with over 150 million orphaned children, the church must fully mobilize itself against this global crisis. Campus ministries create an ideal environment for young disciples to experience the many ways to care for the fatherless. There may be no better way to illustrate the compassionate, pursuing love of God to college students.”

Teaching in Class 1 and 3

Tyler EllisTyler Ellis, University of Delaware, Newark DE

Class Title: Loving The Foreigners In Our Land

Class Description: “How To Start An International Student Ministry.”

Teaching in Class 2 and 4

David FleerDavid Fleer, Lipscomb University, Nashville TN

Class Title: Engaging the Life of the Mind: A Vision to Break Down the False Dichotomy of State v. Christian University (Class Audio)

Class Description: “What might happen if we replaced an image of campus ministry as a safe haven where Christian students are protected from the onslaughts of secular humanism and other offenses and, instead, step into conversations at the highest scholarly levels? What if we conceived of the State and Christian University as the perfect venue to fulfill the greatest commandment: to love God with our heart, soul, strength and mind?”

Teaching in Class 2

Josh GravesJosh Graves, Lead Minister, Otter Creek Church, Nashville TN

Class Title: Location, Location, Location (Class Audio)

Class Description: “Scripture is always interpreted in light of our social and physical location. That is, where we read, and who we are often determines what we think scripture is saying more than the actual content of scripture. That was a lot for one sentence. Here's the thing: if we read the Bible in community and in different places, scripture becomes a living word for our churches and cities.”

Teaching in Class 1 and 2

Fred LigginFred Liggin, Lead Minister, Williamsburg Christian Church, Williamsburg VA (former Campus Minister in churches of Christ)

Class Title: A Campus Ministry of Psalmists (Class Audio)

Class Description: “In this class we will survey the vision of God the Psalmist seeks to cast, especially in regards to justice. The justice discourse in the Psalms could play a significant role in campus renewal and in forming a campus ministry of psalmists.”

Teaching in Class 4 and 5

Mark ParkerMark Parker, Director of Admissions, Harding School of Theology

Class Title: From God's Heart to Their Heart through Your Heart (Class Audio)

Class Description: “The most extensive expression of Jesus caring for others was seen in his desire to connect them with God. Young and old, rich and poor—all are called to the heart of the Father. Come explore specific ways he cared for people so you can care like Jesus did.”

Teaching in Class 4 and 5

David PoundsDavid Pounds, Christ in Action Student Ministries, Lubbock TX

Class Title: Bothering Jesus (Luke 18:1-8) (Class Audio)

Class Description: “A fresh look at one of Christ's parables. In paradoxical fashion, Jesus points to the bench of an unjust judge to reveal the justice of God. A bothersome widow champions our faith and a missing character nudges 'benched justice' onto the court, so to speak. To hear Justice speak on campus, perhaps we need (as Jesus said) to: " Listen to what the unjust judge says".

Teaching in Class 3 and 5

Derik RobertsDerik Roberts, Columbus State University, Columbus GA

Class Title: Restoration: On Earth as it is in Heaven (Class Audio)

Class Description: “Restoration is difficult work. Most of the time it is simply easier to scrap a project and start over from scratch rather than to dig into the trenches and try to fix whatever is broken. Join us for a discussion on the call for campus ministry to make the Kingdom tangible through redemptive and restorative acts of justice, compassion, and love.”

Teaching in Class 3 and 5

Lynn StringfellowLynn Stringfellow, Director of Ministry Advancement for Campus Ministry United

Gailyn VanRheenanGailyn VanRheenan, Mission Alive, Dallas TX

Class Title: Equipping Kingdom Communities on Mission with God: Campus Evangelism and Congregational Renewal
