Here are the latest Campus Crosswalk Board Updates:
The 51st National Campus Ministries Seminar will be held in Nashville, TN, August 2-5, 2007. Keeping the “Connect” theme from NCMS ’06, this year’s seminar is entitled “Connect: the Emerging Church.” We will take a look at the “emerging church” phenomenon from two perspectives.
Dan Kimball, a leader in the emerging church movement, will share with us how they are effectively reaching out to post-moderns.
Also, a speaker from our heritage will offer critique and points of connection, helping us identify what in the emerging church movement we can take home to our ministries and churches to help make us more effective in our setting.
There will also be connecting times designed to help us connect better with one another - and spending time with all of you is always a highlight of the seminar to me - hope to see you all there!

A few Campus CrossWalk Board members are in transition:
-
Dean Barham has moved from Lubbock (Texas Tech) to Nashville to become the preaching minister for the Woodmont Hills church. Those of us who have heard Dean preach God’s word know what a blessing that will be for that church. Dean is a campus minister at heart, and his prayer is that this ministry will give him a great opportunity to promote God’s work on our campuses as well.
- Tim Melikian is also in a period of transition to a new role in ministry as well. Stay tuned for more details about what God is doing in Tim’s life.
- Matt Carter. As you know, Felicia and I are moving to Chapel Hill, NC, sometime this summer to plant a church and campus ministry there. God continues to work in fantastic ways, renewing our faith and leaving us amazed at his goodness. You may keep up with us at www.chapelhillteam.org. Our team is still recruiting members, so if you know people who would be good team members, let me know. We’re also fund-raising, so if you or your church might be willing to support this mission, also let me know. Finally, we are thrilled to announce that Cary McCall will be serving Cats for Christ and the Manhattan Church of Christ as campus minister beginning in June.
