From the Editor

Campus CrossWalk, Spring Edition, 2006

Our Spring, 2006 theme is, "A Plurality of One” (Christian Unity With Christian Conviction). Enjoy the unity related Scripture passages below:

“The LORD God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him . . . For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.’” Genesis 2:18 & 24.

“The Lord said, ‘Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.’” Genesis 11:6-7.

“Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the word of the LORD." 2 Chronicles 30:12.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity." Psalm 133:1.

"They will be my people and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them." Jeremiah 32:38-39.

“I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms.” Ezekiel 37:22.

"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3.

> “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--a man’s enemies will be the embers of his own house.” Jesus; Matthew 10:34-36.

“Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.” Jesus; Matthew 12:25.

"What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder." Jesus; Mark 10:9.

“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” Jesus; John 17:22-23.

“So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Paul; Romans 12: 5.

“Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.” Paul; Romans 14:19-21.

“I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.” Paul; 1 Corinthians 1: 10.

“For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.” Paul; 1 Corinthians 12:13.

“The eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I don’t need you!’ And the head cannot say to the feet, ‘I don’t need you!’” Paul; 1 Corinthians 12:21.

“If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” Paul; 1 Corinthians 12:26.

"The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." Paul; Galatians 5:6.

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called—one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Paul, Ephesians 4:3-6.

“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel.” Paul; Philippians 1: 27.

“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.” Paul; Philippians 2: 1-2.

“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Paul; Philippians 2:4.

“My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love...” Colossians 2:2.

"And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:14.
